Last night we again had the privilege of presenting in conjunction with Dulux to members of the Australian Resident Accommodation Managers Association (ARAMA) at Burleigh Heads Surf Club down the Gold Coast.
Understandably at the end of a long day, we appreciate the excellent turn out we had. We met some really great Managers and Owners of Resorts, Complexes and Hotels who were really interested in finding out more maximising their investment and returns through better building management and painting.
Like last weeks presentations in Brisbane and the Sunshine coast we focused on 3 Specific areas of concern when trying to manage major works in a complex environment.
- Pitfalls of Choosing a Contractor based on Price
- Highlight the actual cost breakdown of a painting project.
Demonstrate that having a specification, trained applicator and regular maintenance will be easier to manage and less costly in the long run.
Its been an interesting year and we feel like we are starting to get some traction both in and outside the industry regarding the pitfalls of making decisions on price alone and what we can do to build successful businesses long term.
We are heading to Hobart in a couple of weeks so its time to get out ‘Winter’ wardrobe because its going to be a lot colder than here in Sunny Brisbane.
